So after two years, I finally talked my friend (04 GT, 5spd) into going to the dragstrip. He's got 3k hes wanting to spend on it, and I didn't really know what to tell him spend it on. Soooo I figured why not ask the ppl who have been there done that:D

    Wow, that's a tough one...

One of the first things I would recommend is a Maximum Motorsports grip box. Also good drag radials for strip use only.

Also an SCT Livewire with a custom tune would of course be good.

    Various bolt on mods...

Depending on how serious he is he might consider some weight reduction as well.

I try to tell everyone to get their 2v's into the 12's NA before getting blown. I should be there this weekend with just exhaust, gears, and DR's on 15" welds. I also have terrible sportline springs. I want to go with a fox setup

Having a blower would be great, but if you got stock suspension, your gonna waste a bunch of power because you wont be able to get it to the ground properly. +1 for the MM grip box.

Beleive me, I want a blower bad, but im beefing up everything else 1st so I can utilize all the blowers power once I get it. Im leaning towards either KB or Procharger.
