need some help with installing speakers!!!

whats up, im new to the forum but i recently purchaced a 95 gt mustang convertable. and the rear speakers are blown, i bought some 6 1/2 pioneers for it but i cant seem to get the black casing the covers the actual speakers off with out breaking the plastic things that are holding it in. if anyone knows how to remove this plastic panel without breaking it, i would appreciate it. thanks.

i don't think you should try removing the black inserts--rather, remove the entire panel. it'll be more of a pain in the arse, but it'll be a hell of a lot easier to swap speakers w/ everything out of the way. plus, you won't risk screwing up the panels.

What he said - you have to remove the seats and then take the panels off. And to take the panels off you have to remove the door jambs too.
