This is for a discussion on another forum. Wondering if you guys could help out. Seems V8 springs may not be the same.

Basically, read off your spring codes on your door sticker, and tell me what model you have (notch, vert, 5.0, 2.3, 1987, 1992, etc) and what major options you have or don't have (A/C, AOD, no-option, etc)

The spring codes are on the door sticker under "TR". Should be 5 letters, the first is the trans code, the remaining 4 are front and rear spring codes.

    I have RRBB as well

1988 LX AOD w/A/C (also both gone now)

From another thread I have, a '92 5.0 coupe AOD w/ A/C has RRSS. So maybe the rear springs are different?

I'm just doing this as research. I know nobody has their OEM springs anymore

    90 gt hatch 5.0 5 speed.

    its looking like rrbb.

    what forum are you on

if you look at road and track springs on mm's website, the convertibles, and hard tops have different part numbers, i called and asked mm about this because i was tryign to get some parts off a vert once and they said the only difference was the ride height in the rear. i think the springs in the back of the verts are taller for all the extra weight from braces and crap.
