Need you advice!

  1. Hey guys.

Just need your help with my GF's 2001 Mustang. She would like an exhaust that would sound nice (wouldn't everyone!). I'm looking to buy her two mufflers (Mac probably)...what size inlet/outlet would be ideal? She doesn't plan on doing anything other than intake and exhaust.

We already have a GT bumper...what size tip fits the bumper best?

Thank you guys! Sorry if this topic is so repetitive. Your advice/suggestions are much appreciated! :)

  2. 2.25" inlet/outlet for mufflers and pipes.

    3" tips look good IMO

  3. Does this sound right?

Stock Y is removed...2 1/4 pipes to the MACs and out.

I went to the MAC site and there are a TON of mufflers.

Can anyone give me a P/N? Not sure which ones I would need.

    THanks again!

  4. Yup, I just got the muffler shop to hack off the Y pipe and run them straight back, as far as product # I don't own any mac stuff can't help you there. As long as it is 2.25" inlet/outlet and they are offset openings on each side of the muffler. they will work.

  5. Cool. Thanks man, I ordered two of the 2.25" offset in/offset out.

13" long, 9" wide, 3.75" thick. Those were the smallest...so I picked them.

Now for the GT bumper...hehe. :D

  6. stock ford mufflers for nice low tone sound, any other brand will be loud and not sound good.... but thats just the nature of the v6

  7. Magnaflows sound pretty decent, haven't heard the stock ford ones, but I will never buy anything except magnaflow, until I hear better!
