Once you drop the k-member, the jack is actually supporting the engine, but if you don't wanna drop the k-member it will require you to jack the engine up a few inches. Its nothing really major or too hard.

and what brand is your torque converter? what is the stall speed on it?

I think the street driving is fine...smooth and the front end rises alot quicker. I don't know if you could still take corners as fast as you would before, but I really don't use my car for anything else that going in a straight line. My TQ Converter is made by Art Carr and is a 3200 rpm stall. The only reason I bought that one was because it was used, cheap and only had a few hundred miles on it. Paying $300 instead of $800 was the reason I jumped on it. But I heard anything from PI is really good.
