I am new to the site and have been reading through the 2.3 section trying to learn more about these cars since I have been doing alot of work on them lately. I have just about finished a custom turbo setup on one and figured I would share some pictures of the progress.
Here are some pics of the header and turbo.
The setup consists of:
factory stock 2.3 turbo bottom end and head
ranger cam
custom header
garrett t3/t4 57mm
tial 38mm gate
turbo xs BOV
modified factory intake
rotated and ported upper 120 degrees
bored out to accept 70mm TB
ported lower
BBK 70mm 5.0 TB
custom 2.5" intercooler piping
Large front mount IC
Haltech e6K EMS
Crane ignition box
3" downpipe and exhaust
Paxton pump and upgraded fuel system on the way
NX wet kit just in case.
I will post some more pics of the rest of the setup soon. I will be starting work on a serious track only setup for another car in the upcoming weeks.
