i was talking to a buddy of mind today about different heads and he suggested that i should change to afr 205's for my setup. i've got the stage III victor jr's i bought from fox lakes and it cost me half my leg and part of my arm. but would it make a big difference or should i just keep what i got? i know when i got these heads 2 yrs ago they were the sh%t!! at least that was what i was told, but how good are victor jr's? any advice would be nice before i bite the bullet and drop another couple of thousands on something that i don't need.:nono:

In my opinion, keep what you have for sure:nice:

If your looking to spend any money, look into a custom cam, if you haven't already:)

After a bit of thought I got a couple options to think about...

The Victor Jr's are a good bang for the buck head:nice:

It can help make some nice numbers, but however it is only part of the component of the end-all power numbers:)

What kind of rpm are you trying to pull with that 347? I know you got the block to handle it, just curious if your internals/valve train can handle 7000+ revolutions?

What cam do you have in it now?

Do you have any flow numbers on those heads? It isn't the biggest deal when it comes to selecting heads, but it is a start?

A slightly smaller head like the AFR 205 (over your "Stage III" ported heads) could very well bring your engine's rpm match, back down to help average power numbers.

Sounds like a plan and your welcome:nice:

Just curious, but where do you shift at? What is the powerband on your custom cam?

Sounds like a nice set-up to me.

Screw the heads and get some twins or a Pro-charger
