Just got the car last week, and i just registered it. Im just waiting for the weather up in NY to get better before i start to drive around. Its a black 1994 with 17" stock wheels, Mach 460, black leather, and its got 52k miles, so i HAD to get it.

But i wanted to ask a few questions also. The car is stock except the SLP catback on it. I like the sound of the exhaust but i want it alot louder, so i was thinking of getting a catless MAC h-pipe.

Also the car has the Mach 460, but it only has the tape player with the roadio, and no cd player. I'm going to get the stock cd player used but iv heard i need a wire that connects from the tape player to the cd player, Is this the only wire i need to make the cd player work, or do i need a power wire for it too?

    thanx

MAC O/R H sounds like a good choice. The Prochamber is also a good piece....more pricey though.

Are you sure the car has Mach 460 if it only has a tape player? I thought it had to have a CD player to have Mach 460? Either way, yes, there is one wire that connects the radio/tape player to the CD deck below.

Yes, welcome! As for an off-road H with your SLP, that will be extremely loud, as the SLP is one of the louder exhausts. May want to think about catted H.

Yea, im positive i have the Mach 460, i was thinking maybe the last owener took the stock cd player out because it might have broke.

And i live in Carmel NY, in Putnam county (60 miles north of NYC)

The SLP's dont even seem that loud to me right now, thats why i want the h-pipe. I want something that will turn heads.

Not all Mach 460's had a CD player in our years. You will need the cable that connects the radio and CD if you add one.

    Welcome,
I was going to go with the stock cd player like you, however I found it was a better deal to just go with a quality aftermarket head unit instead. When I looked on ebay they were going for around $200!! Not sure what they're going for now, but unless you want the tape, I wouldn't rule out a new deck. I'm very pleased with mine, and you can just switch back later if need be. Takes 2 min.
The o/r pipe will def. turn heads! good luck w/ your selections.

Congrats on the new purchase. As far as a CD player, call Crutchfield and tell them you want a new CD player and they can hook you up. They will get you a nice CD player all the connections and for the Mach 460, a line-leveler. Makes it nice, it's what I did to mine with out rewiring the car like Circuit City and Best Buy said I had to do.

My 94 GT had only a cassette with the Mach 460. I wanted a CD so I bought a new head unit and had to spend another 100 bucks for an adapter from Crutchfield.

Mine was stock with mach 460 and all it had was the tape. Didn't take me long to send it to the junk pile.
