nahhh.... its just photoshop. But after many variations, I have decided that this is the direction I am headed.

It's a style. I personally don't like center fogs but that's just me. Stripes are always cool.
Anyways kudos on your photoshopping skillz.

I actually think the stripes are a little too narrow.

I like the center fogs, but maybe not with the stripes. If you could widen the stripes a bit and post one with the wider stripes and center fogs and one with wider stripes and stock fogs.

I think stock fogs might look better with stripes and center fogs w/o stripes... but I need some visual evidence.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried a few variations, stared at them for a few days, and the original shot in this thread was the only one I consistantly liked. I did make the stripes more narrow in that shot, than what is commonly seen on Mustangs. (probably 8" stripes instead of 10" or 12").

I've already ordered the 3D Carbon eleanor grill, and I'll just get stripes to match the placement of those fogs. What I like about this look, is that the visual lines of the stripes are continued through the grill, by the fogs. It makes for a more finished look IMHO. It actually draws attention away from the big fogs, while still obviously keeping them on the car.

Here is a mock up of wider stripes with the Agent 47 grill, this was a close second, but like I said, I like the more finished look of melding the stripes and the fogs together.

Here is the requested shot of center fogs and no stripes.

This will be my default look until I can afford the stripes, which may be some time. I can post a pic once I get the new grill installed. Or, if you have not already seen Psykostevo has the center fogs with the stripes. http://forums.stangnet.com/760285-psykos-gt.html

There are several decisions to be made about the stripes which will probably keep me from getting them for some time; vinyl, paint, or the new ACI paintfilm --if I go vinyl or paintfilm, do I do it myself or have a shop do it. I have researched the process and I think I could do it myself. Plus, I tend to be very picky, so unless the shop is able to pull off a perfect stripe, I would probably not be happy with their work.

Finally, here is the requested pic of stripes with the stock grill. I dont like this look at all, because I think the whole point, for me, was to fix the look of the stock grill. I know the inspiration behind the big fogs was the 69, but they look much better on the 69 because the center grill is more pronounced, on the S-197, the center fogs look like an extra pair of headlights, the car looks four-eyed.

Hey Kevin, could you post some pics of your car, or direct me to a link of pics. I think I can see in your signature that you have the look I am describing, but it is hard to tell.

I think so many people have done the center fogs and stripes that it is now far from unique. Kind of like Eleanor, it's become so common that I like original better.
I also think I like the sleeper or stealth look.

If it winds up you don't care for the width of the gap or width of the stripes, you might give the Street Scene grille a try. The fogs are farther apart.

While you're at it, can you stripe my car too? You don't have to if you dont't. :D

Here's mine. Stripes are all paint/clearcoat 11" wide each with a 2 11/16" separation. I obviously like the VB/white stripes/centre fog combination but each to his own.

Wow... all very nice. I don't think you can go wrong either way with whatever you choose to do.

Wider stripes are meaner in my opinion. :)

What about a more subtle stripe color (ie less contrast to your car)? More of a ghost stripe concept but not truly ghost if you know what I mean.

Also in your pic, my center fogs are closer together than the ones you drew. The outside edges of the bezels are only 1" apart on mine.

Great pics Kevin. Since you took the time to wash your car, I felt I should reciprocate with some stripes.

The perspective is not perfect here, I think one stripe is bigger than the other, but you get the idea.

Klaw, awesome. I hope I dont offend anyone else when I say, in my opinion, yours is the niecest stang I have seen thus far. I had originally wanted a vista blue, for just that look. I love the front spoiler and the wheels as well. I think I'll probably end up with a very similiar look, but with the alloy basecoat.

I did think about ghost stripes but they would have to be black or the titanium grey, in both cases, it is still going to be a dark looking car. I am looking to brighten it up a bit with the stripes. I have not seen too many white on alloy, maybe because it sucks, but I am going to go with it for now. I may end up with silver on alloy, which I know is more popular.

playing around a bit more, Kevin, here is your car with vista blue stripes. I was trying for black, I might be able to figure that out in a bit, but for now, I can only do white or blue.

ok, you got me thinking on this one. My WV Blue vert has the side rocker stripe in a cream/gold, almost matching the parchment interior and top. I wonder what stripes the same color of the parchment vert top would look like.

actually, that looks pretty good. I dont know the exact color your talking about, but a slightly warm white seems to work quite well on the WV blue.
