Greetings all. I'm a new member having always owned a Mustang since 1969. I just purchased a new 2007 GT Premium 5-speed manual. I love this car! I've owned and drove all previous models and this is the best by far.

    Two quick questions.

I like the look of the stainless / chrome trim around the tail lights. I'm liking the looks of the polished stainlees steel set from Automotive concepts over the chrome plated plastic ones everyone else sells. Does anyone have experience of which of these trim kits fit and look best?

Second question, I like to keep a cover on my cars even though they're garaged all the time, keeps dust and bugs off. Who makes and sells a good cover that fits nice?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Welcome! I don't have experience with either, but stainless steel will likely work out better for you in the long run. Its more durable than plastic, and you don't have to worry about some shoddy chrome plating bubbling out or something like that.

I use a dust cover on mine in the garage too. I don't remeber the name brand but I got it on eBay two years ago and it seems to me I got a good "buy it now" price on it.

    Just a thought...

Here is my post from 9-14-06.
I ordered my car cover on Aug 30th. It is a Wolf cover. They say 11 days shipping and they aren't kidding...hopefully here today. BUT it is a top quality 4 layer cover for $175.99 shipped. Here is the website...

I haven't used it at all since spring this year, but for the 6 months I did use it, it worked and protected great!

    Cheapie Wolf Cover

I bought a cheapie Wolf cover, dust cover t type, for indoors at the local hardware store. Although is was listed for a Mustang, it is a little too small to fully cover it. :notnice:

Well, that's because I'm one of those crazy people who loves to scuba dive in underwater caves. I'm also an active deep wreck and mixed gas diver. I really love the caves though, something that's impossible to explain. Been doing the diving thing for over 30 years so I've spent a good portion of my life under water.

The only other thing I've done as long is own and drive Mustangs. I've had one in my garage for as long as I've been diving.
