Engine No Oil Pressure, Went Out On Highway

  1. Having been there myself, I would be surprised if that thing lasts much longer with just a new pump and shaft.
    I would bet the main bearings are down to copper.
    Mine was not knocking at all, I heard increase valve train noise at a stop light, saw the gauge, shut it down.
    I state this negativeness to help you prepare for the worst.
    I hope for you, I am proved wrong, but copper bearings was my treat after a lost oil pressure incident.
