Off Road H- Pipe Question

I tried the off road x on a 04 cobra but ended up going with a different off road pipe because of the sound. From what I have experienced so far x-pipes sound best with a box/chambered muffler set up and h-pipes go well with striaght threw muffler (magnapacks/borla stingers). On the cobra I ended up going prochamber off road h with the borla stingers. In the end its all what u like.

i believe that its the opposite.

off-road hpipe, goes w/ chambered mufflers example flowmasters

and xpipes goes w/ straight through designs....

Get a tune w/ a tuner first then get exhaust, problem solved.

I'm awaiting my off-road hpipe as we speak which will be paired up my flows that are on my car currently.

It's all personal prefrence. From my experience h's are deeper sounding than x's.
So its really what you want your to sounf]d like. I ran a steeda off road x and a borla stinger cat back on a 04 cobra and it was too raspy and crackly or me. I ended up going with a off road prochamber--sounded great.
I ran both off road h and a prochamber h with a flowmaster 2 chamber cat back on a 01 gt--I liked both mid pipes sound.
My current 08 gt I still have stock mid pipe but I more than likely will go prochamber or regular off road h.

That's the generally accepted idea for S197's. I personally don't like the sound of X pipes (even though we have on on the '05). I prefer the H or Pro-Chamber.

Mines is a 2006 so I would assume there shouldn't be a problem. Has anyone used the Off Road H Pipe with stock mufflers, there are a couple sound bites on you tube and doesn't sound to bad, just don't want that raspy sound.

Thanks All

I ran that for awhile while I was waiting to recieve another set of Flows. Sounds pretty good. No drone and very audible at part throttle-WOT. Still nothing compared to the O/RH and Flows:drool:
