Just wanted to know what people are using or what people would suggest. The X-pipe or the H-pipe?? Im planning on getting one of these soon along with 3.73 gears. Just wondering what everyone thought of each. I have an 01 N/A saleen. KB 9# kit down the road(maybe around the end of the year)

H sounds more Muscle car. X-pipe flows better and is a little quiter if it has cats.

If you go with X-pipe, dont get a flowtech. I had one on my 01 sc and had to take it off cause it never fit the manifolds properly. I would recomend Bassani X. Sounds very good

I have heard that an Xpipe with highflow cats isn't much louder than stock? This true?

Also, do you have to get a chip for it if you change the pipe?

This is true. With cats you get alittle bit louder but you get a better tone. An off-road xpipe will trip your "check engine" light. You can either get a chip to correct it, or get MIL eliminators. I found that my off-road xpipe with the check engine light on caused it to run very rich. It did seem to run a little bit better, but it really helped in keeping engine temps down.
