Oil Pan

I've got a '95 GT that is basically stock, aside for an Eddy Performer and the usual bolt-ons. A couple weeks ago I was at my buddy's house and we threw my car up on his lift. While walking under it, I noticed that my oil pan is looking really rusty... as in metal is flaking off and such. Should I worry about it getting a hole and going south on me?

If so, what oil pan would you guys recommend to replace it? If it helps, my long term plans include a turbo as well as heads and a cam, but these plans probably won't take place for another 3+ years (damn expensive college).

Thanks a lot!

I'd get under there with some sandpaper and knock the rust off then hit it with some paint - I'd bet it's just surface rust. There's even special types of paint that will convert the rust and seal it so it will never rust again.

Save changing the oil pan out until you are pulling the engine or swapping kmembers.
