Ok so after pricing the difference of ordering the MACH1000 and install it would run my about $2100. There is no way I am paying that. There's gotta be some aftermarket just as good for cheaper right?

So here is what I need from you all:

I want to know everything I need to get my system rocking...amps, subs, tweeters/mids, whatever and everything! I am not very knowledgable (sp?) in this type of category, so please explain for me :hail2:

I don't really wanna go over 700-750$ with install and all. Is this possible?

So as you can see, nothing exotic for me, but something that will bump and sound better than this stock shi_ I have now! :nonono:

Thanx,
Abel

Good call with ditching stock options. I dont know about spending 750 though, but we can run through the list anyway. A new head unit that plays mp3's like this one... http://www.cardomain.com/item/SONCDXF5700 will run you 170, but that comes with all the installation components you will need to install it yourself, or have a friend install it for you that knows what they are doing. Next most important thing is replacing stock speakers, I only recommend infinity kappa series. I dont know what fits in your car, but two sets of these speakers will cost you like 300 total. So we are at 470 right now. The only way you could keep under 750 and add a sub would be to get a self powered sub, like infinity basslink, or bazooka tube http://www.cardomain.com/item/BAZBTA10200 then you would need a wiring kit, but you would only need like an 8 gauge kit which wouldnt cost you much. The bazooka tube, although it wont shake cars when they pull up next to you, it will produce the frequencies that the speakers in the doors can not produce and it will sound good. So according to my total, we have 170+300+250+30=750 right on the dot, and you might be able to get a deal with shipping, if not then you will have to pay like an extra 25-30 for that. If you want to have it "professionally installed" you will be paying out an extra 150-200 bucks. In all honesty, replacing the speakers in the door is easy, you should be able to do it yourself. The hardest part of that is just taking the door off, and anyone in here(stangnet) can give you pointers on that. The head unit installation is a little more of a headache, but not horrible, everything is color coded, so if you have a set of wire strippers you can do it yourself. As for the sub, if you can get the bazoooka, the amp is built into the subwoofer, so there are two wires you need to connect, one to the battery, and one to a ground. Running the wire from the battery to the trunk is pretty simple too. So I would say try the installation yourself with a friend, and save yourself 200 bucks or more.

you could do something like this
sub
http://www.discountave.net/tiphgo10tise.html = around 90
box
http://www.sounddomain.com/item/RTE31110 = around 40
amp
http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROC351S = around 150
door speakers
around 100
tweeters
http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLGTO16T = around 80
cd player
http://www.cardomain.com/item/JVCKDSC500 = around 180

that amp is probably just enough for that sub. You could probably buy two of them or just a better one. that is around 540 for one amp and all that stuff. I said around all for it because I am not sure for shipping. You can probably look around for better prices and you would still need wire and little stuff like that. I also did not say anything for rear speakers because I was not sure if you would want some with the sub
