I own few mustang in the past, mostly fox body and pre 98 gt , now im having around 7k to find me a nice 99+ mustang gt with 5 speed or auto is fine, dont plan on doing any mod, just driving and cruising , for the past few years while on this forum, I did saw spark plug blow out common problem on 4.6, this is what I scare about for the 99+ gt. Should I be affaird ? what should I look for when I buying a 99+ mustang gt, I know it very depenable, and the 4.6L is bullet proof, I own few in the past.

Plug blowout is common but no big deal. It is easily and inexpensively repairable.

I've never had this problem and this is the first time I'm hearing about it.

I haven't experienced the plug blowout at all with my Mustang and I bought it with 69,000 miles on it and it has 123,000 miles on it now...

I bought my 2003 GT new and drive it everyday...160,000 miles later, there's been no plug blowout here.

$7k ought to get you a really nice GT from that timeframe. Even an '04.

I didn't change mine till 140K. And that was only because the intake manifold was getting swapped. Car still ran great...I just figured while they were in there, why not?

Still ran the same after the plug change but the idle was a bit smoother.

So you have 3 Stangs now? The 95, 98, and 89? If so, then you probably should have gotten something different...like a 3V Stang.
