the hurst is a little taller, but to tell you the truth, you really dont notice the difference.

the stock is really short, but it is deceiving because the throw is so long.

Good Point. The shifter handle is very short, but the throw is quite long...

On another forum a guy installed:

    Saleen Short Throw Shifter Adapter

He loves it and it costs less than 50 bux...

As you can see, the stock shifter with poly bushes might be what you want if you like it short or it may be worth waiting for that MGW.

For once I agree with you. The stock shifter in my 07 is very nice. I can powershift 3rd all day long and never miss a beat. I see no reason to change it.

My friend linked this vid to me of the MGW shifter...I'll try to get more info from him when I talk to him next.

Supposedly you can adjust from barely shorter than stock to all the way up to 55% shorter throws and it keeps the stock shifter height.

It will be available in March sometime.

I work for PRO 5.0 I have taken all of the shifters apart that are currently on the market. I have measured their tolerances, looked at their materials and tested all of them on the street and on the track at raceway park. Past years and the 05 car and the 07 car. I am willing to give an honest unbiast opinion. The Steeda shifter is a Great quality shifter and it is better than the Hurst although I do respect Hurst for their accomplishments. Hurst is now owned by B&M by the way. The guys on here pushing the MGW shifter must work for MGW because they have always made a lower quality product for a cheaper price. Go for the Steeda ( or the Pro5.0 ;) )

That would be unbiased. And your post certainly doesn't come across as such to me.

I recommended the MGW not because I work for them, but because I bought one and used it.
