I would go with the vt engine cams instead of the shm but no matter what cams you get I would use new comp cams valve springs even if they say they are not needed its better to spend 185$ then break a spring and have to buy a new motor
he was replying to me. Scott from VT said stage 1 P&P and stage 1 n/a cams will net 40-50rwhp. don't believe me ask scott yourself. And what does me having one performance or ten billion performance parts on my car have to do with anything.?? nothing
that is what i was wondering. i just know that i gained around 35-45 on a blown car thats why i said lower than that.
35-45 with a blower ,, man that just sounds way low ,, how much psi are you pushing ??? KaPPaBaLL what you are saying about the n/a set sounds about right for a stage 1 .. But then I believe that the whole stage 1/2/3 is just a way to get more money out of you ,, but thats just my option.. But if I had to say p/p in stages I plan on a stage 2 at least then the cams ,, i am already making about 260 to the wheels ! thanks
thanks for agreeing with me. PM Scott from VT Engines. He told me himself that those were the numbers N/A. But anyway, stage 2 cams are a great way to go. I can't do them because of smog
depends on the setup. but most good companies. vt, tea, shm(expensive), foxlake, etc can get you 300rwhp with longtubes, plenum, tb, cams, ported heads, and tune. even more with mods. I have yet to see a car with a set of ported heads and cams not be above the 290 mark. as long as they were from good sorces. I think vt, t&j, shm, foxlake andy of these companies can make you good power. I would think 40hp minimum.
