I'm taking on the challenge of painting my 1990 Mustang GT and thought I'd share my progress here. Long story short, I had a carport fall on the car over the winter due to snow load on the less than strong tent shelter.
The shelter did a lot of small rubbing and scratch damage which was covered under my comprehensive insurance coverage. With that said, the insurance is covering about $2,500 worth of the job so I am going to disassemble, and prep the car, then take it to my friends body shop for professional paint.
The car has been totally repainted once, using a very VERY cheap rustoleum single stang paint. The car is rather straight and hasn't had much puddy anywhere.
With that said, does anyone know of any supermotor write-ups that are already out there that we can reference here as well? I'd like to post as much information as possible in the first few threads referencing other peoples jobs.
