Just wanted to share that I am SO happy that I passed inspection this year! Only $12.50, no additional taxes or fees. I have 10% tint, completely open exhaust (no cats), bald rear tires, and remote start. Good luck to those who need to pass inspection soon! :SNSign: P.S. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I passed emissions in September, cost me $10. All they do is plug into the diag.port and check for codes, thank god for O2 cheaters.
It's 29 bux here in MA dammit. You can't pass with O/R pipes even with O2 cheaters, but I always passed with my catted X and bald tires.
i passed today too. (6 months late) no cats, 5% tint, and exhaust dumped over the axle and annoyingly loud. BTW it pays off to know some inspectors!
Its all who you know. I walk in and say i need a sticker he sign's it, writes on a big white paper and gives me a scraper and new inpection sticker
Woo Hoo... as of Jan. 1st, there is no more emissions testing in Colorado Springs. But if I move to Denver I think there still is.
thats whats nice about southern illinois, absolutely no inspections. we get by running just longtubes around here with no cop problems. but if there's a ricer revvin and a cop sees it they write alot of tickets
MY inspection sticker is out now . Around here they will nail you for anything. No nice inspectors that I know of . But glad you passed topless! I wonder if the guys at the jiffy lube type place would be so interested in the turbos and completely rerouted exhaust that they may just pass me? Everything else is fine, just no cats.....but it wont take long to make 2 pipes and weld my stock cats in. Thats what we planned on doing anyways....
I don't know how this all works... when do your cars have to go in for an inspection? like yearly or age wise? give me a little 101 course here...
