pinion?

took my driveshaft off today and there is oil coming out from the pinion where the big bolt is, is this the pinion seal???

sounds like, easy fix,just dont over tighten nut,check for bearing problem,20 year old car

Sounds like the oil is leaking through the splines on the pinion gear. I would remove the flange, replace the seal while your there and put some silicone on the splines where the flange goes on. This will cure your problem.
