I'm going to be building up a new engine soon. it's gonnabe a stock bore, stock stroke 5.0. It's gonna get Thumper heads, Steeda shaft mount bolt down adjustable roller rockers (1.6:1), a Weiand Stealth Carb intake, a 650 carb, MSD Billet Ready-to-Run Distributor and a X303 cam.
I'm reusing the stock crank and rods. But I can't decide what pistons to run. I've narrowed it down to 2 piston choices.
First - Flat tops with valve reliefs. Would deliver about 9.25:1 compression.
Second - Domed. Would deliver 10:1 compression with this combo.
Which is better in your opinion?
