Ok well first let me say that the 2005 mustang is one of the nicest looking cars I have seen come from Ford in a long time. But considering that the price will be around let's say 25-26k I've been thinking. What if I wait till let's say August or September when dealers are desperate to get rid of old models to buy a 2004 GT? I mean let's face it most dealerships will mark up the '05's it's first year or atleast it's first months. So here's my question, Is this a good idea? How much can I hagle the price down due to the incoming 05's?

Oh and for those of you wondering after looking at my sig if I'm going to "rice" out the GT. The answer is no I wanted to be different with my first car and I've done that ok cool. Now I want a car I will not get tired of.

If anyone's interested on my plans for the 04:I want it black and a 5-speed, drop, 18" black or gun metal rims, tint, Exhaust, gears, and a twin turbo system.

Yeah, I wonder how much more you will save by waiting. If you wait till the Fall the prices will be cheaper but the selection will be slimmer. There will probably ge some great deal out there if you can find them.

I went into the deal last month, just snooping around trying to get info on the '05 (waist of time, directed me to the ford.com site...) and while I was there, they tried REALLY hard to push a mach one on me for like 25ish....(They didnt' seem to understand how badly I want the new body style..... but this is prime time for anyone wanting the 04 style, some people are going to get hooked up with a killer deal on those with the new one comming out...

I got my 04 Mach for 24,500, by that time maybe you could even get away with 19,000 - 20,000. Right now theres a $4000 rebate on 03's and by the summer you might even see that on 04's

I admit that I'm biased, but I'd jump in a 2003 Mach 1 for about 22-23K right now, and wait a couple of years for Ford to get the production bugs out of the '05 and newer model.

I can't believe they're going to build a completely new car, in a new plant, and not have problems... I wouldn't be surprised to see some Mazda parts on the first years run!
