While I took my 99 cobra apart to fix the t45's busted 2nd gear, I inspected the clutch. the car has 90,000 miles on it. It says Valeo on it, is it a ford racing king cobra clutch?

Also, can you see anything wrong? clutch did not slip. Disc has plenty of life left, but check out the discoloration. Machining marks are still in the flywheel and pressure plate, so I can't imagine it is excessive wear

clutches run _HOT_. Nothing you can do about it. The flywheel has the usual heat discoloration, as does the pressure plate. Some will look better many will look worse. However, since a clutch is cheap and it is a PITA to replace, I would resurface the flywheel and replace the clutch anyway while you have it loose and in your hands, it will save another similar job in the future...

That is a stock clutch and pp. It looks close to those rivets..and 90K...? I would replace it with a new FMS. Turn the flywheel as well. Torque the bolts to spec and replace the t/o bearing and you'll be good.
