ok recently my car started running a bit rough, so i went to change the plugs (wires are month old motorcrafts). the old plugs were autolite 764's and were white when i pulled them. i also realized at this time, that i put a breather filter on the crankcase, but the breather hole before the compressor, was open. i plugged that promptly. i purchased the motorcraft 32's and gapped them at .034. i did this on friday. they're already bad. i just picked another set of 764's and a set of NGK TR5's. they came very highly reccomended.

my question is this: what should i gap them to?

also why do i get a blowoff valve sound between shifts when i have no blowoff valve? i thought it was the breather hole, but i plugged that. could i be hearing it through the cone filter?

    thanks in advance
