I have the Maximum Motorsport Stainless Steel brake lines currently installed but I was wondering when I pull my calipers in a couple of months to get powdercoated, what's the best (safest for the brake system) way to plug the brake lines so fluid doesn't run everywhere while I wait for my calipers to get back? Do I run the risk of messing anything up if I have my brake lines disconnected for a couple of days? Thanks.
at the auto parts store, in the "HELP" section, you'll find rubber plugs, sets of, I think, 8 different sized plugs on a nylon 'tree' holder) - pickup two sets of these and fit the smallest one you can fit onto the line. Be sure to ck for leaks in a couple hours and keep your brake fluid topped off while waiting for the powdercoating to be done.
someone i knew found the perfect size bolt and screwed it in. didnt leak at all, and line fit right back onto the fitting no problems.
