as far as the warranty thing, if you have documentation stating there was a problem prior to the expiration of the warranty, ford usually will fix it under warranty even though it has expired. At least that's what they did with mine. They (Ford) told me that as long as it was a pre-existing problem prior to expiring warranty and they couldn't figure it out then it should still be covered, as long as it is documented in their records somewhere.

If the bushings don't fix it, then it's probably the outer tie rod end. $30ish from Ford. Easy fix.
