Here's my 04 with a 3.9 and 5 spd now that it has some nice wheels. Next will be to lower it about 1" and a rear spoiler is on the way.
I'm a little lost! What exactly makes an 04 a 40th anniversary? I just picked up an 04 with badges on the sides that say "40th anniversary" but I'm a little hesitant to think its an actual 40th anniversary addition! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Nemisus
Every '04 is a 40th Anniversary Mustang, but they made a special 40th Anniversary package for a limited amount of GT's. Three colors-Crimson red, black, and white. Color matched side view mirrors, striping on hood, rocker panel, and rear decklid. 17" Bullitt wheels. Interior upgrade package, with 40th Anniversary floor mats, and some kind of badge on the console. Same engine and everything else. Just a cosmetic package.
They also made them in v6. The wheels were not Bullitts on the V6 but color matched Arizona beige striping.
yeah.. mine is a v6 40th crimson... its the only one ive seen, ive only seen GTs around Asheville.... heres a couple of pics of mine...
i also have a mach 1 chin spoiler on it.. i just dont have any recent pictures with it on. but soon I will!! but heres some more of my 40th
I have a 40th crimson red w/ Arizona beige stripes. Personally, it's my all time favorite color. Reminds me of wine & champagne. I'll post pics soon once I get my windows tinted.
40th package besides being in crimson red, black or white and having the arizona beige stripes the wheels are painted arizona beige like the stripes, there are color match folding side mirrors, bullit/cobra pedals and door locks, floor mats with 40th anniversary embroidered on them, the center bezel around the radio and shifter is grey with the trim ring around the shifter and a special badge next to the lighter/powre poin and the headrests on the front seats are 4 way adjustable. also, did anyone else get a factory carbon fiber shift knob on their 5spd? also, i have only seen one other crimson red gt, a black v6 and a white v6 here in orlando. all coupes. i had mine in the fun ford weekend car show back in march and i was the only 40th anniv out of over 120 cars.
flstang65, I'm moving out that way to Jacksonville in August, we'll have to hook up some time. It'll be nice to see another 40th. I'm out here in California and have only seen one other Crimson Red.
