i wedged my tripod in between the rear seats and the console. The 3 legs make this pretty feasible, that's how i shot my shifter vids.

I feel like I inspired this thread for some reason ... :stick:

I made one for my brother's 240sx ... I got a piece of aluminum (we have it laying around but you could get some from lowes) and took the headrests out of the driver and passenger side. I placed the aluminum over the holes on both sides, marked and drilled. Then I put some rubber pieces on the ends of the aluminum (leather seats). Slide the headrests through on both sides and you have a piece that is mounted solid. I also drilled 10 or so holes in the middle of the aluminum (part in between the seats) so that the camera could be mounted in different places along the 'rail'. It works perfect.

He always had issues with his launch because of the camera tilting upwards. With it mounted this way, it doesn't move and can be aimed where ever. There is a cool one I saw one time that has like 3 suction cups or something ... mounts to the windshield but my homemade method worked good enough for him.

I made a couple for my previous car (SVTf). Never bothered with the stang, probably will fab one up from some mild steel tubing next auto x season, or if the car is caged by then just make a bracket to mount off a cross bar :D
