Yeah the new Mustangs are everywhere... Me and my Dad drove my Mustang into the city a few days ago and we easily saw 3 times as many, probably closer to 4 times as many 05+ Mustangs to the 99-04 ones... I have said it once and I will say it again, this new body style is going to fall out of favor quickly. Once the new Challenger/Camaro comes out it will be all over. To answer your question the price does seem a lot lower than I would have thought they would be going for, I just havent kept up as I have zero desire to own one...

Here locally I have found a few cars that seem to be descent deals.

05 GT loaded with 1400 miles white automatic - $22,900
04 Mach 1 loaded Azure blue 4900 miles 5 spd - $23,500 (little high imo)
    03 Lightning red 15,000 miles - $19,900

Yet a lot of times, having a manual in a car raises the price. It's so stupid, awhile back I was pricing out some car, don't know what type, and to put a manual in was another $1000 over an automatic...what a crock of *****
