After many weeks of procrastinating.. I finally got the cherry picker and some help in pulling my motor. I had the hood off and some stuff disconnected prior
to today, but ended up having to take a bunch more stuff out. All in all, made a little bit of a trans fluid/ coolant mess, nothing major. Got the engine on a stand and the oil pan off... first thing I see is a bearing in the bottom of the pan.. ! damn. So its a std bore 289, I'd like to get around 400 flywheel hp, figure I'll just throw some higher compression pistons/better connecting rods, aftermarket heads.
Any comments or ideas are welcomed and greatly appreciated... this is my first rebuild of an old v8.
