Anyone considering buying a QA1 K-member? I would advise against it! I installed this in my car....looks like a roller skate now! I called QA1 and sent pics...they claim they have never seen this before! Now I have to pay to have it shipped back so they can determine if it is defective. What do you think?

when u installed K, did u use plumb bob off of original K while its in the car to position it exactry where it needs to be?
K menber have certain slac built in to it. It can move something like 1/4"~1/2" in all direction.
installing aftermarket tube K is actually pretty time consuming and complicated process. Because you have to position it just right, or else it goes all over the place

Looking at your car, it almost look like as if K member is pushed all the way to passenger side.
Did u do the install or did u have shop do the install?
If u did the install, u'll have to get under the car, and take the measurements.
Because I'm almost certain that your K is pushed all the way to one side or the other.....

on the other hand, if u did install K off of center, thats somewhat simple(er) to fix.

While car is on jack stand, U can losen:
Strut to spindle bolts on both side
u may need to losen rack and pinion bolt
Then support Engine(to take the weight off)
then losen all the bolts that hold K, At this point, k should be free(with some strong hand) to move
(now its been a while since i had the K off of my car. I might be missing something....)

    and start adjusting.

Yes I agree also that it must not be lined up properly. Check the alignment of the bolts. I have a QA1 K member in my car and it's bad a**. Lightened the front end up substainally! Next I have the QA1 tubular a arms and upr coil overs im putting in. Let us know how you make out. That would suck if you have to remove it! Oh the fun of modifications!

So you can install just the QA1 k member without a full coilover set up? I know the Maximum Motorsports K you have to do a full coilover conversion with tubular a-arms, won't fit with stock front suspension. That's sweet, I just want the k-member for now and do the coilovers later.

PA racing has a K-member to suit your needs. www.paracing.com

Gonna have to guess that its not aligned properly... If that's not the case, then you got pwnt by bad QA1 quality control  Good luck, hope you figure it out :flag:

Didn't have an issue like that with my QA-1. Only thing I had was I couldn't get the engine to rest 100% level.

Because the motor is not in the car, loosening the bolts on the K member was not very time consuming. Unfortunately that did not help. There is no left to right adjustment, only front to back. The K bolted up great except for it shifted the tires, not by a litle, but ALOT! I since have taken it all apart for the third time, and am going to send it back for a quality control inspection. I also purchased a PA Racing unit that will arrive later this week. I have been doing some research on some other forums and have found some people with the same problem, just not as bad. At this point if I were to drive the car and hit a pothole my fender would be toast!!! I will post a pic of the K to show there is no right to left adjustment.
