What is your best 1/4 time? What do you have done to the car? I'm really wanting to know the carbed 5.0's and I'd like to know the heads and cam you have and if you have headers. Thanx :D

    Slow.

Best time in my car was a 15.732 @ 87.80 mph with my dad driving it. It was with the 302, 4spd manual, non-posi, 3.00:1 gears, longtube headers, 2 1/4" exhaust system, compcams 268H camshaft (1500-5500 rpm).

Hopefully in a few months I'll have times for my 393.

My best time so far is 13.83. That's running a 288/.460 cam, E6 heads, headers, Performer RPM intake, a Demon 650, T5, and 3.80 posi, on 215 street tires.

Dont have any 1/4 mile times but the best 1/8 mile was a mid 7 pass on street tires. I dont know what that "equates" to in the 1/4. Its got more in it but if i put slicks on it i will destroy the 4 speed. Im in the process of putting a t5 in it now so hopefully i will see what it can do this year.

    13.00@114 ,1998 5.0l SVO crate aluminium headed engine b cam,performer rpm intake,600 cfm Holley,c-4 tci shift kit,8.8 rear 3.73 gears.

This was my best E.T. from last summer on street radial tires,0-60 times 2.6sec...don`t need to explain this one :D

During the winter I installed ford roller rockers,Hoosier front runners, hoosier quick time screwed with inner tubes in the rear, front and rear sway bars with full front suspension upgrade from P.S.T.,relocation of the battery in the rear with the Moroso blue box.

Later in the summer I will install my t-5 with b&m shifter and steel bearing retainer
,with a centerforce dual friction .I will also install my ford racing drive aluminium drive shaft that I got last summer after I noticed a flat spot on my steel unit :D it is oval in the middle and my joints don`t line up perfectly :rlaugh: I think I should consider buying a loop

I`ll post my new E.T. (Hopefully better) when i test the car in May at my local track,I `hoping to break the 13 mark,12.5 is My goal for this year.

I started at 15.2 then 14.5 then 13.7 and the last step was 13 flat...all that within 5 years,$$$$ !Since I started drag Racing the car,I have a Goal, and after that,I will not spend a penny more, meanwhile :D I`m still working on it. One day you`ll see 11.99 on my window! And then I `ll start Autocrossing,I hope installig the big sway bars will not harm my drag racing duty for now!I`m already preparing for the big day!! :D

    13.59@105.6mph, 2.3sec 60'--- 362ci, 11:1 compression, Edelbrock RPM heads, port matched Edelbrock RPM intake, Holley 750, Hooker 1 5/8" headers, 3" exhaust, Tremec 3550 5-spd, 3.70 equa-loc 9" rear, 245/45-17 tires.

My 302 Mach 1 hasn't ran the 1/4, but is only 0.3sec slower than the 351W in the 1/8th mile when running 22X8 slicks. The Mach 1 just has a '88 5.0L long block w/ Edelbrock RPM intake, Holley 600 carb, Hooker 6120 headers, T-5, 3.00 open 8" gears, and dual 2.5" exhaust.

You must have some serious traction probs A351 that 351 car should be considerably faster than that

Serious traction problems, slow shifting....the tremec doesn't like to be shifted fast and I'd rather shift slow instead of missing a shift.

a351, what's your altitude? I'm sure that's not helping either.

yea tell me about it SLC... 4800 feet drops close to a full second off my ET which BTW was 14.4 w stock 351W internals and performer intake. Crower Cam, and headers. Should be low 13's with new set up.

You run low 14's and you're yanking your front tires?

Some altitude would probably help with my traction problems.

You also must remember the car was built for corners as much as straights, there's very little weight transfer to the rear, and it's actually cammed pretty mild (smooth idle). Peak HP is at 5000rpm and peak torque at 3800rpm with a very flat torque curve.

This chart will give you an idea on 1/8 to 1/4 mile.

    Many factors so it's not 100 %.

I'd like to see some pictures if you have any. I was going to do a T3 twin turbo (EFI) 351w in my Pinto.
