I know I'm a lowly v6er invading your neck of the woods, but I figured it'd be mo' betta to ask here then there. Will the rear end of an '03 Cobra, fit under an '03 V6? I need to get rid of my 7.5 and was just curious.
    Thanks in advance.

Yup! Doesn't matter if it was a V6/GT or Cobra, the mounting points are all the same. You can swap an '03/'04 IRS into your '03 V6 if you wanted.

I've seen plenty IRS set ups for sale on the forums. A lot of the drag racers change over to straight axles, should be easy to find. Now, what's up? Going to make a nasty little corner carver?

I guess my question is why would you want to - that IRS is pretty heavy. if I were you and you just wanted a stronger rear, just get a 8.8 from a GT. I had too many problems with the IRS when I had my 03 cobra, so I wouldn't do it just for that fact alone.

Good luck with what ever you do.
