I have noticed on a lot of 05 mustangs gt and v6 that there are only 4 gauges, tac,fuel,temp,and mph. But All the 06 and 07 mustangs I've seen there are 6 gauges, did they not start adding the 2 extra ones until this year? Can anybody shed some light on my wierd question, I am just curious.
The oil and battery gauges come with the IUP, Interior Upgrade Package. Yes they do come on the 05's and 06's. Its a $450 option. Which u want cause it allows you to change the colors of ur instrument panel too.
yea that changing the color of the instrument panel is really cool! I wonder how many colors you can choose from yea it almost makes getting the IUP a necessity instead of an option.
it makes 125 different colors......you also get the message center with the iup. that alone is the best reaon to get the iup.
I got the IUP and am glad I did. But there's something wrong when one has to order oil & battery gauges as an option on a car like a Mustang. My 66 came with them standard, as did both my 95 GT & 96 Cobra...
hey marine one, forgive me if you have already done so but do you have any pics posted of your new 'stang, and also what is all the list of options and features you got on , it also if you don't mind my asking what was the total price you paid , I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect when i come across the money someday to get one :o)
MyPony81, You can go to the ford sites and look at stickers just go to http://www.fordvehicles.com/ click on locate dealer then search the inventories at any dealer.
I recently did the IUP retrofit because my car didn't come with it. With all of the different color combos I still use the same old green the car came with. In my opinion the information center with system checks is the best reason for having it.
