I figured I'd ask you fox guys since I don;t know anyone with aluminum heads on a II. The car is a stockk 77 cobra with a 302, and I just bought set or RPM performer heads, headers, intake and 650 carb. You guys who run alum. heads notice a difffrence in sound through the exhaust? I was told alum heads make a car louder, any truth to this? I have 2 weeks to pick out what mufflers i'm going to run.

It really isn't the affect of the aluminum per say, but aluminum heads are usually more 'performancy' and have larger valves, ports, and with a bigger cam allows more air in the combustion chamber, which makes it louder out the tailpipes:)

More air, more fuel ='s more 'bang' ='s louder car...
