Hey everybody :o) Newbie to this forum. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong set of springs for my 05 GT. Question, does anybody know if there are any differences in V6 & GT springs other than the load. The set is a Progress Technology set #40-0808 that lowers V6 F/1.2" & B/1.7" will these just lower my GT a tad more with the 150lb. difference in models. I could live with a tad lower, :o). Researching shows the suspension are supposes to be the same. Any comments would be appreciated before I RMA them back.

    Thanks

Not sure if there is a major difference but with the difference in weight of the cars if there is a difference than you will probably see the following 1) your front will drop lower then advertised and 2) ride quality may be less then stellar since the springs will compress faster and farther then intended. So you could run the risk of your tires smacking the inside of the wheel wells and the front end bottoming out on every speed bump/pot hole.

Yes, absolutely do not use the V6 springs on a V8. The front end is what would suffer the most. Sag-o-rama and hit a serious pot-hole you mind as well cut squares out of your hood so the tires can come through. ;)

    Thanks Mr. Q
Curiously though, H&R Springs (German) uses the same springs for both GT & V6 models, just lowering height differences by about 1/8". I am inquirering at Progress Technologies about the same thing about their springs. V6 front 1.4" / rear 1.7" & GT front 1.5" / rear 1.8". Will let you guys know what I find out.
