Fastback or Flatback, which was the correct term used by Ford executives? Also Notchback or Coupr which is the correct term used in the Sixties?
Fastback and coupe, I think. Who knows what goes through an executives mind? I have heard the 71-73 Fastbacks called Flatbacks. Also, the 69-70s were called Sportsroof by Ford, and the earlier models were often called 2+2s.
65 - 66 = 2+2 67 - 68 = fastback 69 - ? = sportsroof Not sure about the coupe vs notch back thing. -Chelle
A Notchback is a car that has the fastback shape, but when you open the trunk, the rear window comes with the trunk lid.
