racecraft spring rates??

    hey guys
    just curious as to what the spring rate is for the stock racecraft springs of 1989 saleens?

    well thats iffy. If the springs are the same as the 87-88, then its about a 700front/290rear specific rate spring, equivalent of H&R's race spring. At some point in the fox body years they went to progressive rates which are a bit smoother riding, but dont handle quite as well. Those would be more of at floating 640-700ish front and 240-280 rear...equivalent of the current eibachs that are considered stiffer (dont know which ones of the 2 offered)

    Saleen had told me way back, they don't give out their spring rates.

    1987 thru 1989 Saleen's (excluding SSC's) had specific rate springs with a front rating of 650 lbs. and rear rating of 300 lbs.
