I just met someone that has a 1997 toyota supra twin turbo and says its modified, boost controller, cai, exhaust, and some engine work. I think that car will beat mine but i thought i'd ask you guys and see what you guys think and if anyone's ever raced one of these. I've recently got my pony supercharged and the only car ive race is a 2005 ls2 gto in 1/8 mile and beat him by about 3 cars but my lead was growing fast. I have an 8 pound pulley and a boost gauge and it seems sometimes i get 6 pounds and sometimes up to 10. Also, some guy with a 2004 subura wrx sti also asked me to race him and i know for a fact that he's a really good drive.

what kind of MAF do u have? Why do you just have "MAF" in ur sig? I think you'll have your work cut out for you, although i see you have some serious injectors. Damn man.

Wish i could offer you more insight but i really dont know crap about supras...other then they are fast (espscially modded like ur buddy's there). I'd imagine you'd blow the doors off of the STI no problem. And i THINK you'd be able to beat the supra if he has a manual and is a bad driver.... but sounds like hes got a lot done to it.

    Goodluck :nice:

Be careful. TT Supras build big horsepower with ease. You could be up against 600+ HP. Let us know how it goes.

Do not race them from a roll. If you are a skilled driver you should easily beat the WRX STi but the TT is unpredictable. Since it is so high maintenance it could easil be screwed up but if it is well tuned and running right... You better be well tuned and running right also...

You could race the STI from a roll those suck a** from a roll. The only reason they run low 13s is because they 60ft like 1.6, they only trap like 99-100.

When i was N/A i could beat wrx no problem but was beatin by an 04 evo vlll but ive never raced an sti. I was thinking of getting a torque converter as my next mod with a 4200 stall and race them then. Ive heard its a good mod that knocks of like .2 to .5 off your et.

That sti driver claims he hit high 12's when he went to a nopi event in phoenix arizona and i know that up here in reno nevada it would be slower. And yeah since the awd helps them take off like crazy.

Back in High School and shortly after, 2 of my friends had Supra TT's both 96's. Man with just exhaust and boost controller and a tune, those things fly. There's another guy I know that has a (retired)HKS Supra show car.(This guys parents are rediculously rich, and he's an only child,..plus he flipped the supratt he used to have before it), that is the fastest car I have ever ridden in, besides a 1 of 9 Custom 900hp tt 1993Diablo

From the line you've got a shot against the Supra...you are suckin his tailpipe under any other circumstances. Eat the WRX for breakfast. 4200 stall might be a bit high btw

I hate to say this but I think you'll lose to both cars.........
TT Supras make power as easy as the 03/04 Cobras; and like the 03/04 Cobras, you'll find a pot of gold before you could find a stock one. As for the STI, it's light, awd, and they pull really hard. My friend used to have one, I've ridden in it quite a few times.

Do you have the J-mod or at least a tuner to firm up the shift points?

I am very familiar with both cars.I hope you mean you are racing them
at the track.Don't race them from a roll because their turbo/s will spool
faster than your Procharger D1 will from a roll. You should
race them from a dig the AWD cars shine from a roll. These guys could have
big turbo upgrades and not be telling you about it.A guy that works with my cousin
has a 95 Toyota Supra TT that dynos 890-900 rwhp. You would never know
it had that much power because the looks stock from the outside.
What engine work does that guys Supra have? Ported and polished cylinder
heads yield huge gains on a Supra TT.Good luck man let us know how it go's.

A local guy here drives an auto Supra TT, makes 340rwhp. He ran 12.8 @ 110 at the track. Me and him "played" around a little (40-90 pull) on the highway, and I pulled ahead.

6-speed Supras are dangerous on the highway. Auto Supras are more dangerous @ the track.

Yeah i had the shift points programmed b4 with the hypertech tuner then when the d1 was installed i had it reprogrammed with the diablo tuner. Never really raced an sti but when i was naturally aspirated i found a white wrx, looked like an sti but had no emblems and no wing. I asked the guy if it was an sti and he denied it then he followed me and we went at it from a roll and his car jumped to a 3 car lead in like a second i said f**k this and slowed down then the sti driver rolled his window down and told me at actually was an sti and it was modified. But i wana race an sti from a dig and see what happens now that my pony is s/c'd.

All the guys I know with supras run low tens lmao... One of them ran a 10 flat doing so making 668rwhp spinnin on bias plys - thats his street tune/boost too lol... Low 9 second car with a bit more tire (sorta impossible without big drag mods) and a lil more boost.

well, if the Soup-Rah has between 300-500hp, its a 12 second car. If he has 500-900, its still a 12 second car. Good Luck :)

*I know, I know. No need to enlighten me ;)

My bro has a turbo supra fast ass top end! Get him from a roll i think u have a honest chance if all hes has is those uprages since supras are hard as hell to launch. I think if he has full exhaust it might be a bit hard tho since that 3" downpipe and cat back adds 3psi easy
