Ok i got 2 seats coming that come with universal sliders, In theory I was told that I need to take off the stock brackets under the stock seats and use them with the universal sliders for a easy install,

But I dont think it will end up that way so what are my options

I know corbeau sales brackets for 99-04 mustang gt for $99 a peice but Im wondering would they work with another brand seat cause the ones I have coming in are these WHICH ARNT CORBEAU

good call, universal slider won't fit with out A LOT of work...ignoring the humps and what not on the floor, the 99+ have the seat belt mount attached to the seat brackets so there won't be anyplace for the seat belt to attach with the universal sliders...

I'm pretty sure on Corbeau web site they have mounting dimensions for their seats (I think, I know it's on the web someplace) then just get the dimensions of your seats and hope for the best

....if not try this place: Wedge Engineering > HOME they make brackets to fit about everything and I think they cost about the same as the Corbeau ones...

(I did a bunch of research on this before I found some Mach 1 seats)

I just took the brackets off the stock seats and made them work on the new seats...it was a little bit of work with a die and threader, but now I have the power seat on the driver's side...fits perfectly!

here is an older pic of the seats:

the power button isn't mounted...just pushed underneath the seat...I don't know if there is a way to mount that...you could try to fabricate something, but since the seat never really moves, I just left it pushed underneath...

I did exactly what 98stangV8 did. Used stock brackets and mounted them to aftermarket seats. The driver side was pretty easy but the passenger was more difficult. I would just spend the $200 to buy aftermarket brackets designed to fit next time.

Btw I had what looks like those exact seats in my old 98 and loved them.

Good call...I forgot how difficult the passenger one was to put on! Holy crap!

I got those seats for under $400/shipped and they are still in great shape...have had them for over 6 years!
