is there a junkyard direct bolt on kit at the local boneyard? i know about the ultrafast brackets for the mark7 rear but ive seen on ebay people selling a take off set what are they from?

That would actually be UltraSTANG Mk VII conversion,...but close enough...

No matter what disc brake setup you get for the rear, there will be some sort of fabrication or modications involved to install them, because no early Mustangs came with factory-installed rear disk brakes, therfore there are no completely "direct bolt-ons" that don't require either major or at least some minor modifications.

But, here are some alternatives using Ford brake parts:

I'm going to be doing the crown vic conversion shorty. The cement in the RV is finally ready for use. The thing about that swap is that you do need to cut the axle housing flanges a little but its completely harmless and you can revert to the drum setup without a problem. You also need a proper hub spacer and I think a rotor spacer or bearing spacer, I can't remember. In a month or so when I get started on this conversion I'm going to be doing a write up on it. I know I've been saying that forever but life has been hectic. I mean it this time, its comming soon !
