Rear-end parts!?

I have a friend who damaged the rear end on him Mustang. It's a 2000 GT w/ a stock 8.8 setup. Does anyone know where to find say the axles, bushings, & bearings for that rearend & also where to just find the whole rear or a 9 inch rear end?

if you want stock parts just go to the dealer for the axles and bearings, or a place like autozone, kragen, napa for the bearings. there are places like Moser Engineering, and Strange Engineering that make sweet 8.8 setups that can take a ton of power. the 9 incher is a solid rear end, however the power level you are gonna be at that would result in broken built 8.8 parts and a 9inch is necessary is beyond what the mere mortal would acheive.

I've got a set of used axles, and he can buy a stock diff off of ebay for 75 bucks or so

Try your local speed shop. Many people upgrade their carriers so they have axles and carriers just lying around.

Just tell him to spend about a G for an Eaton Posi, 31 spline axles, studs and gears, then throw the slicks on.
