Repainted wipers/cowl vent

In retrospect, I should have taken before pictures. Nonetheless I'm sure you could all look at your car and see the black paint faded down to the steel and that's basically what mine looked like.

Anyways, I just stripped them down to the bare metal with a metal wire grinder machine in the garage. Then I put 2-3 coats of black Krylon paint followed by a coat of clear (also Krylon).

I messed up real bad on this wiper so I stuck it on the passenger side so I don't have to see it! I'll fix it later

All in all, it was real easy and is much better than the bare metal reflecting the sunlight in my eyes!

The cowl Paint will likely hold up, But the wiper arms are Aluminum, When i painted mine i didnt expect them to hold up long, and about 2 months later the paint started flaking again. You can actually get new arms (with stronger springs!) for not a lot of money. You might consider it especially your wipers start to lift at high speed.

I sprayed the arms on my 93 several years ago, and they are still holding the paint just fine.

go to advance auto parts. they have a some nice wiper arms in alum anodized ones for 25.00 a pair. in 4 or 5 different colors

Yea, I've been around and talking about it long enough, huh?! As soon as I find a motor. With working more this summer I should have more money so I'm beginning to really look for one.
