I finally got the front struts and springs to finish off my suspension but unless you get the full complete kit you won't get the shorter bumpstops for the struts and the rear axle. Where can I get these? I heard most kits come with them but since I did my install piece by piece I missed out. I could try to reuse the stock ones but that will limit my range of motion and limit the suspension. Any ideas? Also the struts came with this metal loop that connects the shaft to the spring perch that seems to be in tension. How do I go about removing those for the install? Thanks!
The Saleen suspension kit calls for you to cut the bump stops. If you go to their site you can open the installation manual and look at the picture to know where to cut. Probably not the best solution but its is cheap and quick.
I wish there was a way to measure the Roush bumpstops to see if they are close to Saleen's stock but cut units. I went to the dealer and gave them the Roush parts but they haven't found them yet. To make matters worse you can't buy those bumpstops from Ford as the dealer could not find a reference to them on the system. I dunno at this point if I should leave them stock and lose performance or take a chance at cutting the stops and possibly screwing up the shocks if they are too short compared to the Roush units.
