dont use the atf use syncromax I called rp about this a while back and they said syncromax. Snake oil HUH? So the fact that rp makes more hp then just about any oil on the market doesnt matter? lower temps and less friction does nothing HUH? I think that if you do some re-seach online you will be impressed. and my trany shifts smoother with rp then it did with fresh standard fluid.

how about we agree none of you know how to interpret MSDS sheets or analyize differences in the typical properties info between two different types of gear oil, then concluded that all you're offering to the argument are your own biases or appearent neccesity to advertise your uncomformity. Use what you like (be it color smell or cuz everyone else does), but what ever you do dont ask a bunch of people who claim trail by error or company funded hp tests represent performace

just because you can read a msds doesnt make you a expert on how oil performs.

anyways... I use the RP synchromesh in my trans. I had mobil 1 synthetic ATF and didnt like it (too notchy), the RP cleared that up but made it a bit noisier. Its not like ull notice much of a difference, but those are the few i did. who knows.. what i do know is that royal purple products are good products and are the only kind ever gonna be used in my car because i feel like its the best and thats all that matters:shrug:

After a day of driving with the Royal Purple Synchromax, I have noticed alot smoother shifts. It seems to slide into gear now, when before there was a little resistance. The old fluid was clean and had no noticeable contaminants. Maybe I could have had the same results with another brand of fluid, but regardless I am happy I chose the RP Synchromax.

So ATF MAX is not good for a manual trans?

I think it would be fine if you have already purchased it. If not, then I would recommend the RP Synchromax.
