anyone used the stock 5lb saleen supercharger and if so was it a good enough improvement to leave it alone?im not after 450 or so hp with a auto trans, just want more low end torque.

I suggest a standard Whipple kit. The screw design is the latest technology.

a friend of mines wife has the 6lb Ford Racing kit on her auto/convertible with 3.73's and it walked my stocker pretty bad so yeah 5-6 lbs of boost on a stock car is real fun

The 5lb Ford Racing kit nets you 400hp at the crank they assume this on a stock motor with just the Supercharger kit and its tune. If you have other parts and can get a better tune I would say you can hit 450hp easy, draw back is thats the peak of the factory fuel system. Anyway back to the question If you can afford it it's worth it but if you're going to stick to a 5-6lb kit go with Ford Racing they cover your factory warranty. :nice:

No they wont their tunes are preset. You don't require a tune for headers so it will run without it and when you get a chance put the car on a dyno.
