while programing my 06 Mustang GT. The message center said "check the charging system" and something about fuel level. To program the car you need to remove the fuel pump fuse and the cooling fan fuse. The car runs great, no problems, after starting the car. The message goes away and there are no TDC's. Is this normal? Or cause for a concern? The programer is the SCT x-cal2.

Beats me, I don't know. However, I want an Excal2 for my '06 too. Once you drive the car, let me know if you think the tune made a noticeable difference.

    Thanks!

I got my XCal2 from JMS chips with an 87 economy/91 mid range/93 max power tunes with their CAI. It is awesome. A real SOTP difference.

check www.sctflash.com they will located someone there that is close to you. You can also order one over the internet. I would recommend calling the dealer you wish to use and let them know your setup/mods. The xcal2 is awesome, everyone should have one.

Is that hard on the engine at all, or is it better for the engine? Im going for reliability, but an extra 5 or 10 horses here and there, is always good. :D I was only thinking of putting an borla catback, but hearing you guys talk about the tuners peaked my interest. :rolleyes:thanks.

I got my Xcal1 from JMS Chips and highly reccommend them!

Their custom tunes and kits prices are THE BEST!

Spend the xtra $25 and get the Xcal2..... well worth it!

    Thanks!

Just got my GT350R side stripes put on and replaced the factory GT fender badges with 289 SOHC Flag badges..... very retro.

I have the Street Scene grille on the way to relocate the factory fogs to the center. A la '67 Shelby. :nice:

I may also get my stripes painted on bumper to bumper and put a little closer together.

I'm running the JMS Chips "economy tune" on 87 gas.
The throttle response is MUCH better. They also tweeked the traction control system to allow for some tire squeel.

With the mods listed below, I dyno'd 288 RWHP.

I'm confident with the 93 tune, 300 RWHP is within reach. :nice:

I thought Traction control is completely turned off when you hit the button? I do have a 93 tune that allows it to be turned off all the time. Is the traction control not completely turned off when you hit the TCS button?

My car does the same thing with my Diablo tuner.

What he means by disabling TCS, you can permanently shut it off with the tuner.
