Anybody got a 2005-2006 GT w/ the shaker 1000 or 500 radio and knows if it is satellite-ready? By that i mean you don't need a display unit it just shows up on your radio display like a cd title or fm station info? NOBODY at Ford has a clue, but yet the new (2007-8) radios are satellite ready and IPOD compatible!!

I want sat. radio but i'm not sticking some ugly disiplay unit on my nice aluminum dash...

    Help!!:stupid:

I had a 2005. I think you are out of luck.

It would be cheaper to get an aftermarket head unit.

It won't work on the 05. I have my Sirius mounted on the overhead console, and use the FM transmitter. I actually like it better like that than some of the indash units because it rewinds, etc. I also can switch to the FM or AM and back pretty easily.

Lots of pics and discussion on the other forum.

    To each his own, though.
