You again. At least spam the damn talk section we have and not here in tech. I guess you didn't learn any respect since the last time you pulled this

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=391166

wow, little harsh.....poor guy.its not like hes compeating with you or anything.
i do agree though, talk section is more appropriate. this site went a long time without one and now that its here, it should be used.

i think your sites cool, just only thing i don't really like about it is the template you use, its not that bad though. i just have a more creative side i guess. my wife calls me compolsive/obsesive. i like the fact that your offering space for people if they need it and a forum. what programs do you use? there are quite a few people with sites on here. we need to have a swap link post so i can be sure i get everyones sites on mine.

buy the way, how'd the heater thing go?

if you ever need any help with your site, let me know. i'm not a expert, but i have a good little experiance under my belt.

I don't think it's harsh enough. Stangnet has served me well as a free forum that has allowed me to post questions and answers relating to my hobby. I think it is disgusting that someone would register on SN and use 3 of his 5 posts trying to promote his forum based website. Why should SN, or IT'S MEMBERS, allow people like this to come here use these forums in such a way? I find it disrespectful and LOW. I would never want to frequent a forum run by someone of such poor character.

The advertisement in your sig wouldn't have anything to do with your position would it?

"The advertisement in your sig wouldn't have anything to do with your position would it?" .............sure does!!

you know, i don't make ANY kind of income or anything from my site. it eats up a lot of my time and i don't expect anything from it. i just like doing it. just like i like mustangs. its simply a hobby. although i do agree that you shouldn't register to promote you site, and i didn't realize he had 5 posts, 3 of which were promoting his site. :nonono: i agree it that case, it was called for. and i guess i'm somewhat swayed to defend him cuz i'n also a webmaster.
well whatever........now on to something relivent...this was fun :flag:

Thank you streetgrande69 and you are right i should have put this in the Talk section. GP you need to switch to decaf. I'll contact you street about the questions you have.

bswor, I admit I agree with GP001, but i also totally understand SG's point, It does seem real fishy to me also, plus the exact same posts on VMF in several forums (though i grant you you've participated a lil more in the forum over there then on this forum).

OK, I'll bite. What is VMF?

Spamming a forum is clearly in bad taste. Self-promotion is one thing, and if you are an active participant it is generally okay. But to come here in your first three posts only to advertise your own site/forum, AND THEN DELETE POSTS IN YOUR FORUM DOING THE SAME THING is unforgiveable and reprehensible at best. :nonono:

Two of the how to articles appear to be lifted from other sites. I wrote the windshield removal article and allowed Tom Schmidt to post it on the VMF FAQ site, http://links.vintage-mustang.com/FAQ/window_removal.html . (If you go to this site you will get the pictures with the article.) I'm sure the rack and pinion page is from another site. I do not know about others, but I'm ok with giving permission to others to use my stuff, but they should ask first.

JohnZ, Could i then use the link on my 'How To page" ?

BTW it would be plagerism if he used it as his own, it could be copyright infrigment if he copied the article and posted it on his site without permission. But linking to a site that (like he did) is approved is ok, at least by society now.

I got to admit bswor has contributed a lil bit on VMF boards, but not really here.

By all means link away.

When I click on bswor's page I get the link http://www.1969stang.com/articles/windshield.html, not the original VMF-FAQ where the article was originally published. That is why I believed he copied the page. I then looked at the source code and sure enough, he has copied the article onto his web page. He also does not link the graphics correctly.

By the way, the seat swap article he links to is for the car I now own! At least he linked to Stephanies site!

Yep - bought her last May and drove form Oregon to WV. Check out my documentation of the trip. http://johnz.mustangsandmore.ws/
Pretty gutsy to buy a car that was rebuilt by an amature and assume that a 3000 mile trip was just the thing to break in the car! But everything went fine.
